“The Brennan Farmhouse”
8”x10” print in 11"x14" black matt
In this print of June Ponte's "The Brennan Farmhouse", the spirit of Edgar Allan Poe appears over the Brennan farmhouse, once located in Manhattan where 84th St. is now. Edgar and his wife, Virginia moved there in 1844. Virginia’s spirit stands at the door, while Poe’s Raven perches on a sign at the side of the house.
Many believe that Poe’s Raven was written in that farmhouse, but most Poe scholars remain uncertain.
Created by June Ponte, winner of the Saturday Visiter Poe Award from the Poe Baltimore Museum.
